Las Colinas Golf & Country Club is in a 330-hectare valley to the south of Alicante in Campoamor. Ranked in the Top 100 Golf Courses in Continental Europe 2018 by Golf World, the club offers a 71 18-hole championship course, complete with Club House, golf academy, driving range and putting green. Las Colinas was designed by the renowned architect, Cabell B. Robinson and consists of two looping nines, arranged into three par threes, three par fours and three par fives per set. Water hazards are particularly threatening on the course, with the lakes blending into the landscape seamlessly.
Campo de Golf Las Ramblas de Orihuela
Designed by Jose ‘Pepe’ Gancedo in 1991, Campo de Golf Las Ramblas de Orihuela has a unique route that will enhance any golfing holiday to the Costa Blanca. Never has a game of two halves been used more accurately. Designed by two separate architects, Mar Menor Village Golf provides all the variety a golfer could ever want. The first set of 9 holes were designed by Dave Thomas and feature threatening bunkers and lakes. In contrast, Nicklaus Design designed the last 9 holes, incorporating wide fairways and the signature ‘amen corner’, with particularly challenging 13th,14th and 15th holes.
Hacienda del Alamo Golf Resort
Opened for play in 2006, Hacienda del Alamo is in a deluxe residential development in the Sierra de Carrasco, a short distance from Murcia. Designed by Dave Thomas, the 18 hole par 72 course is arranged over 92 hectares of land. Constructed on natural wasteland, the course enjoys gentle undulation and several elevation changes. Hacienda del Almo is also routed through almond and olive orchards, with several lakes threatening the play of even the most experienced of players.
