The Best Golf Courses Near Cascais
Golf Quinta do Peru
Golf Quinta do Peru opened in 1994 and is one of the most prestigious golf clubs in Lisbon. Situated to the south of Lisbon, between Sesimbra and Setbual, the club is located on an elevated plateau and offers incredible views of the Arrabida Mountains. Routed over undulating terrain surrounded by a pine forest, the course features bold bunkering and water hazards.
Oitavos Dunes
One of the most popular golf courses on the Lisbon Coast, Oitavos Dunes is consistently ranked in the top 20 golf clubs in Europe. Located within the Sintra-National Park, the course was inaugurated in 2011 has since played host to four Portuguese Opens. Designed by Arthur Hill, the course plays to a par of 71 and combines woodland and links-like holes that require an all-around golf ability.
Penha Longa Golf Course
Although the Penha Longa Golf Course is located on a large complex, the golf club has preserved the natural beauty and seclusion of its surroundings and created a spectacular golf facility. Located in the Sintra Cascais Nature Park, in the southern foothills of the Sintra Mountains, the layout consists of 27-holes routed over valleys, hills and rocky outcrops, resulting in one of the most challenging courses in the area.
Praia D’El Rey Golf & Beach Resort
Opened in 1997, Praia D’El Rey Golf & Beach Resort gives golfers a wide variety of holes. Designed by Cabell B. Robinson, the course consists of two loops of nine holes that combine a mixture of parkland and links. Spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the nearby Berlenga Islands are offers as golfers cover the 6,405 yards.
Royal Obidos Spa & Golf Resort
The Royal Obidos Spa & Golf Resort is situated in one of the best locations on the Lisbon Coast. Surrounded by numerous UNESCO World Heritage sites, national monuments and the Atlantic Coast, the course integrates into its surroundings perfectly. Troia Golf
