Golf Holidays in North East Italy
North East Italy is the perfect location for a golf holiday in Italy. Featuring a dramatic and varied landscape, the region is bordered by Austria, Switzerland and Slovenia as well as having a coastline facing the Adriatic Sea. In respect of elevation changes, the Alps are in the most northern sector and the Apennines are in the southern sector. In contrast, the region also features a significant amount of the valley of the Po River. It is a result of this diverse landscape that the climate of the region can vary significantly. It is generally more continental on the plains than on the Adriatic Coast and rainfall is more common near the River Po than elsewhere. Whatever the weather, it is these variations that help to transform high-quality courses such as Golf Club Udine into some of the best in Italy.
