Golf de la Bresse
Golf de la Bresse is located 60km to the northeast of Lyon, in a tranquil, rural setting that gives visitors an authentic golf experience in the French Alps. Designed by Jeremy Pern, the club boasts an 18-hole course that is arranged in two returning loops of nine. Free from any residential developments, Golf de la Bresse offers a mixture of open and woodland holes and features water hazards and bunkers.
Golf & Country Club de Bossey
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Junior in 1985, Golf & Country Club de Bossey is in the outskirts of a small French village, 10km south of Geneva. Featuring countless elevation changes and slanted fairways, there is not a single hole on the course that is level. Other challenges include lakes and slopping fast greens.
Golf Club du Domaine Imperial
Located on the banks of the Leman, halfway between Lausanne and Geneva, Golf Club du Domaine Imperial is regarded as the best golf club in Switzerland. A must-visit on your golf holiday to the French Alps, the course was designed by Pete Dye and inaugurated by the iconic Seve Ballesteros. The courses’ signature hole is its par-five 4th that features a narrow-doglegged fairway, a long narrow bunker and numerous small pot bunkers.
Golf International de Grenoble Bresson
Golf International de Grenoble Bresson offers incredible golf with a magnificent backdrop. Located in the foothills of the Alps, the course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jnr and plays to a par of 73. Stretching 6,821 yards, the course includes everything from alpine meadows with glistening lakes to forested foothills. Featuring multiple elevation changes, this course is one of the most challenging in the country.
Golf Maison Blanche
An extremely private club that accepts just 5 times a year, Golf & Country Club de Maison Blanche is the most exclusive club in the French Alps. If you are fortunate enough to be visiting the area when they’re accepting guests, an opportunity to play at the club should not be missed. Featuring a variety of elevation changes and fast greens, the course will test players of all abilities.

Situated within a spectacular 500-acre estate bordering the River Rhone, Golf Club de Lyon boasts two high-quality 18-hole golf courses. ‘The Broacards’, which was inaugurated in 1963, is a 6105-metre course that plays to a par of 72. Also played to a par of 72, the ‘Sangliers’ comprises of wide greens with subtle slopes and has previously hosted the French Open in 2001.
