Circolo Golf Bogogno
Offering spectacular views of Monte Rosa Massif in the Pennine Alps, Circolo Golf Bogogno is in one of the most picturesque locations in Italy. Inaugurated in 1996, the club boasts two 18-hole golf courses designed by Robert von Hagge. Laid out in a links-like style, the ‘Conte’ course is often a favourite, whilst the ‘Bonora’ layout is routed over a hilly area typical of the Ticino natural park.
Golf Club Biella
Also known as ‘Le Betulle’, or ‘The Birches’, Golf Club Biella is located on the slopes of the Serra moraine, just a few kilometres from Biella and Ivrea. Stretching over 7,105 yards, this challenging course is where the iconic Rory McIlroy won the European Amateur Championship in 2006 and achieved the current course record of 65.
Golf Club Des Iles Borromees
Designed by Marco Croze, the course at Golf Club Des Iles Borromees is one of the best in the area. Situated 500 metres above sea level, the club is in a central position in Lake Maggiore and offers incredible views of the Swiss Alps, Ticino Plain, Milan skyline and numerous lakes. Routed over hilly terrain, the course is lined with pine and silver birch trees and should not be missed.
Golf Club La Pinetina
Routed through 175-acres of Italian pinewood regional parkland, Golf Club La Pinetina is an idyllic escape away from the modern world. Located alongside the Inter Milan training centre, the course is laid over undulating landscapes and features various elevation changes and bold bunkering.
Golf Club Monticello
Located in a woodland countryside typical of the area, Golf Club Monticello is located just 1 mile from the famous Lake Como. Originally designed by Jim Fazio and Baldovino Dassu, the course has now been renovated by the Canadian architect Graham Cooke. Offering two excellent 18-hole courses known as the ‘Rosso’ and the ‘Blu’, the club has hosted the Italian Open seven times between 1975 and 1992.
Royal Park I Roveri Golf Club
Situated within Parco Regionale Della Mandria, Royal Park Roveri Golf Club offers exceptional golf facilities. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Snr in 191, the ‘Trent Jones Snr’ course has been recognised as one of the best courses in Italy, with the 17th hole stated to be the best hole in the country. In addition, the ‘Pramerica’ course was given the title of Best New Course 2014 by both Golf Digest and Golf World.
