Considered to have the best golf course in Switzerland, Golf Club Domaine Imperial is a must-visit on your golf holiday. Located on the banks of the Leman, halfway between Lausanne and Geneva, the course was inaugurated by Seve Ballesteros in 1987. Designed by Pete Dye, Domaine Imperial’s feature hole is the par-five 4th which features a very narrow doglegged fairway, a long narrow bunker and numerous small pot bunkers.
Golf Club de Lausanne
Founded in 1921, Golf Club de Lausanne was later expanded to 18 holes in 1931 by Hermann Narbel. An extremely traditional club, it is situated near the north shore of Lake Geneva, just outside Lausanne. Laid out over hilly terrain, this parkland course has been routed through a wood creating a calming atmosphere. Featuring fairways lined with ancient chestnut, birch and fir trees, the course has hosted numerous professional events including the 1997 Ladies Swiss Open and the 2008 Swiss Omnium.
Golf Club Vuissens
Golf Club Vuissens was designed by Jeremy Pern and opened for play as an 18-hole course in 2002. Laid out in two return loops of nine holes, the course is lined by mature woodlands and features strategically placed streams and lakes. Combining undulating greens, links-like bunkering, fescue roughs and excellently maintained fairways, players of all abilities will enjoy playing at Golf Club Vuissens.
